TIGER EYE

Tigers Eye is associated with the Solar Plexus Chakra. – Tiger’s Eye is a member of the Quartz family of minerals of the silicates class. It is a crystal of primary formation which means it forms from molten magma. The process usually happens in cavities in volcanoes. Where the combination of chemistry and structural arrangements of mineral deposit. These deposits of atoms and substances pass from gas or liquid into a solid-state. Or through going out of solution by precipitation or evaporation.

This stone is part of the mineral crocidolite forming process, which is a type of asbestos. Quartz and iron ore replace the crocidolite during the formation of the golden or yellow tiger’s eye.

Tiger’s eye typically forms as opaque and is naturally brown or golden brown. It is found mainly in Africa and mined in Brazil, Australia, and some parts of the United States.

Because of its unique appearance, Tigers Eye has been used since ancient times. The early Egyptians thought It to be the “all-seeing eye” and used the stone in their Gods’ statue creations as their eyes. It was also a talisman, carried to battle by Roman soldiers, who thought it would give them the strength and courage of a tiger. Hence it has become known as the Stone of Courage and Strength.

All crystals belong to a different group according to the basis of the relationships of their axes. There are seven systems and 32 classes of symmetry. Blue Tiger’s Eye crystals belong to the Trigonal system.
